Studying abroad is the act of a student pursuing educational opportunities in a foreign country. There are a variety of reasons students may choose to study abroad. It is as an opportunity for them to immerse themselves in a foreign culture and have experiences unattainable in their own country. Students may study abroad in an effort to expand their opportunities beyond those their home university offers. Learning a language is one of the most common reasons for studying abroad. Another is the opportunity to travel and experience new places. Many students also choose to study abroad in hopes of enhancing their employment prospects.
